Simon has been entertaining since 1990 having started a rock band in Jersey in the Channel Islands, performing his own songs and rock covers from the age of 23.
Having recorded a solo album with local success, his songs were played on Radio Jersey, and Simon was invited to radio interviews to promote the album.
He stayed in Jersey for ten years before emigrating to New Zealand for four years where he formed the rock ‘n’ roll band, ‘Johnny Blaze and The Infernos’ .
The band performed all over the south of the Island, playing covers from the 50’s and 60’s which was very well received by the Kiwi audiences. These covers form the basis of his music today.
Having returned to his native home of Rugby in 2004, he formed the very popular indie /rock /mod covers band, ‘Sound Effects’, which is still touring today, but with new members. In It’s ‘heyday’ was the most booked band in Warwickshire.
Having moved north to Barnsley in 2012, he formed the duo ‘Songbird’ with top Cabaret vocalist Donna Bell, and performed at the Sheffield O2 venue, playing acoustic covers with their own arrangements.
Later, he teamed up with Danny Cox of the ‘Jax Danielz’ Band and toured the clubs of south Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire as 50’s rock ‘n’ rollers.
Simon now lives in Spain where he plays a wide range of rock ‘n’ roll classics.
He also plays a set featuring hits from over three decades… rock, pop, indie, Irish rock, country, glam rock and electronic music from the 1980’s.
