Benn started to DJ aged 17 at house parties, purely because of the love of music, and his growing vinyl collection. In 2004 Benn started DJ-ing in the corporate sector, attending events on many of the party boats on the Thames, and big marquee venues such as The Honourable Artillery Company, Painshill Park, Chelsea Royal Hospital Gardens, Luton Hoo and the Tower of London became regular residencies. Since then Benn is regularly found at many of London’s prestigious venues - OXO tower, Claridges, Corinthia Hotel, The Mandarin Oriental Hotel, and The Berkeley Hotel to name but a few.
He has a wide selection of music from 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, in addition to all of the current chart hits. Benn specialises in 70s/80s disco, funk, soul, 90s dance/club classics, old skool garage, and 2000 current floor fillers…think 'Kisstory'.
From those early years spinning vinyl, in the early 2000’s Benn switched to CDs, learning new skills on Pioneer CDJs. Then in the early 2010’s he switched to digital. This new technology enabled Benn to once again enhance his performance skills, bringing those old house party classics to the 'big stage'.
