Biography
The gifted Japanese violinist ‘Laymaya’ is an award-winning versatile violinist of the ‘Genius Of Violin’ competition in London.
Her performances have a unique, original sound that creates a ‘hypnotic’ atmosphere as she interprets Electronic, Flamenco, Classical, Argentinian Tango, Celtic, and Latin genres.
She began studying the violin at the age of 8 where her musical talent was ncouraged by Phillip Lewis, the concertmaster of the Calgary Philharmonic-Dallas Texas.
Her musical education lies in solo performance, musical composition, conducting, and musical theatre at various institutes such as The Mozarteum Conservatory (Salzburg, Austria), Southampton University (UK), South Oregon University (USA), and Limerick University (Ireland) where she received a scholarship.
She has performed at some of the best events and festivals in 10 countries and 4 continents (Europe, America, Asia, and Africa).
